South Africa Coach Replies Revenge-Seeking Rohr, Super Eagles Stars : We Are Not Going To Lie Down & Die
Published: November 16, 2018South Africa coach Stuart Baxter faced the cameras ahead of his side's crucial Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Super Eagles tomorrow afternoon and has responded to questions about their opponents seeking revenge having lost the first leg 17 months ago in Uyo.
Nigeria manager Gernot Rohr, his players, the local media and Super Eagles fans have all been talking about revenge leading up to the match day five fixture at the FNB Stadium.
Bafana Bafana are under pressure to collect all three points as any other result would put Libya back in the race for qualification ahead of their trip to North Africa in March 2019.
''A long time, we got hammered by them before we went to Uyo, I don't think the times that we have lost to them will play any part in this game,'' Baxter said.
''Revenge is one thing, getting it is another. It is ninety minutes to be played, the opponents are on the other side of the field, we are not going to lie down and die.
''This game is going to go right to the wire. I can't guarantee a win but I can guarantee that if they are going to beat us they have to work really, really hard.''

The Super Eagles arrived in Johannesburg in the early hours of Friday and trained at the FNB Stadium in the afternoon.
