Bristol City Keeping Tabs On Prolific Nigerian Striker Who Is England's Top-Scoring Teen
Published: November 19, 2018Championship outfit Bristol City are looking to sign one of the brightest Nigerian teenagers representing an English club, Sunderland's Josh Maja, according to reports.
The 19-year-old is attracting interest from clubs higher up the pyramid on the back of his blistering from for the Black Cats.
Sunderland Echo making reference to Bristol Live says Bristol City are considering a move for Maja, who became the first teenager to reach double figures in the top four divisions in England this season.
Maja netted his tenth league goal against Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday with a Bristol City scout in attendance at the Stadium of Light.
Sunderland boss Jack Ross admitted after the game there's no update on the contract situation of Maja, meaning he could walk away from the club as a free agent next summer if he doesn't put pen to paper on a new deal.
A former Crystal Palace and Fulham youth-teamer, the center forward has been on the books of Sunderland since 2015.
