Chukwueze Grabs Second La Liga Goal In Two Games; Gets Praises Of Arsenal Legend, Spanish JournalistSuper Eagles new kid on the block Samuel Chukwueze scored his second La Liga goal this season for his club Villarreal Sunday night in their 2-1 win against Real Betis at the Estadio de la Ceramica.

Chukwueze scored Villarreal's second goal in the 52nd minute as he fired a low shot to the bottom left corner after a receiving a back heeled pass by Santi Cazorla.

Gerrard Moreno had put the Yellow Submarine ahead two minutes earlier with a thumping header from a corner.

Chukwueze had two first half clear cut chances to put Villarreal ahead in their Sunday's La Liga clash at home against Real Betis albeit he failed to score on both occasions.

First the former Golden Eaglets star who was in Nigeria's squad to the 2015 FIFA U-17 winning team and adjudged the third best player in Chile at the cadet tournament saw his low shot smothered.

The Nigerian who was in action in the scoreless draw against Uganda, an international friendly in Asaba last Tuesday, saw his second attempt miss target by whiskers after brilliantly controlling the ball with his chest.

The win ended Villarreal's seven match winless run in the league. It takes his team to the 16th spot with 14 points from 13 games.

At half time of the game, former Cameroon international and Arsenal legend Lauren Etame Meyer as well as seasoned Spanish football journalist Guillem Balagué who were studio guests of La Liga TV hailed the efforts of the Nigerian whom the latter reiterated was the only Villarreal forward who had "spark" in the first half.
