Arsenal's Nigerian Super Kid Saka Rejected Three London Clubs Chelsea, Tottenham & Fulham
Published: December 13, 2018Bukayo Saka has revealed that he was wanted by at least four Premier League clubs before he agreed terms with Arsenal.
Tottenham Hotspur, Fulham and Chelsea were interested in signing the winger as well as Watford but he didn't think twice when the Gunners came calling.
The 17-year-old became the youngest player of Nigerian descent to feature in the Europa League when he made his professional debut two weeks ago in a 3-0 win against Vorskla Poltava in Kiev.
''I had invitations from Spurs, Chelsea, Fulham and Watford but the only choice was Arsenal, I enjoyed the way that Arsenal played so the choice was easy for me,'' Saka was quoted as saying by Football.London.
''I trained at Hale End and signed when I was nine years old. Receiving a scholarship and then signing a professional contract a couple of months ago and playing for the first-team has made this year very special already.''
Born in Ealing, Saka has represented England at U16, U17, U18 and U19 level and some of the matches were competitive, meaning he has to apply to Fifa for a one-time switch if he decides to represent Nigeria in future.
Arsenal manager Unai Emery has handed a full debut to the promising winger for the Europa League meeting against Qarabag FK at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday night.
