EFL Championship Team Of The Week Honors For Manchester City Loanee Adarabioyo
Published: December 24, 2018Manchester City loanee Tosin Adarabioyo has been recognized for his imperious display in West Brom's 4-0 rout of Rotherham United on game week 23 in the EFL Championship after he was named to the Team of the Week by Whoscored.
Adarabioyo impressed at right-back against a Millers team that contained Nigeria international Semi Ajayi and the only blemish was when he felled Richie Towell in the box 15 minutes from time but the penalty was not converted.
A defender by trade, Adarabioyo was the joint top dribbler with three successful take-ons along with Matt Phillips, Harvey Barnes and Joe Newell.
The 21-year-old made three tackles, two interceptions, four clearances and blocked two shots, and was awarded a rating of 7.8.
Born in Manchester, Adarabioyo joined The Citizens 16 years ago and has recorded eight appearances for their first team to date.
He made his tenth consecutive start against Rotherham United at AESSEAL New York Stadium.
