2018 Is Odion Ighalo's Second Most Prolific Year For Club & Country
2018 is Odion Ighalo's second most prolific year for club and country since he turned professional eleven years ago, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

The former Watford striker came close to breaking the 30-goal barrier, having scored 27 goals combined for Changchun Yatai and the Super Eagles in 38 appearances, an average of 0.71 goals per game.

At club level, the highlight of his season was scoring four goals as Changchun Yatai claimed a 5-2 win over Guizhou Zhicheng on April 21 and what makes it more impressive is that it was an away match.

For the national team, Ighalo's moment of magic, scoring a hat-trick against Libya in October, got Nigeria's 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign back on track.

The 29-year-old had a hand in 49 percent of all the goals scored by Changchun Yatai in the Chinese Super League, having provided one assist in addition to his 21 goals.

2015 was Ighalo's most prolific year of his career to date, netting 29 goals for Watford and scoring against Cameroon in a friendly, bringing his total goals to 30 for that calendar year.
