Official : Schalke 04 Midfielder Louis Samson Returns For Second Spell At Erzgebirge Aue
Published: January 04, 2019Berlin-born Nigerian midfielder Louis Samson, 23, has returned for his second spell at 2 Bundesliga side FC Erzgebirge Aue.
The Violets reported on their official website on Friday afternoon that Samson has signed a contract with the team until the summer of 2021.
At Schalke, he was under contract until the end of the season but has decided to join a new team as a result of his lack of first team opportunities.
In 2017, he left Erzgebirge Aue to join Eintracht Braunschweig but after one year his contract with the Lower Saxony club was not renewed.
Samson spent time with the youth teams of Tennis Borussia Berlin and Hertha BSC before his shift to Erzgebirge Aue during the 2015-2016 season.
In his first spell with Erzgebirge Aue, he recorded 67 appearances in all competitions, scoring one goal.
