Official : Ex-Barcelona Striker Shakes Hands With Egyptian Club Al-Masry SC
Published: January 21, 2019Nigeria international Ezekiel Bassey has completed a move to Egyptian Premier League side Al Masry Sporting Club.
The 22-year-old has committed his future to Al Masry until June 2022 after putting pen to paper on a three-and-a-half year deal, the club stated on the official website.
Bassey rejoined Akwa United for the second half of last season after an unsuccessful spell with Paykan in Iran.
The striker cum winger sealed a celebrated move to Spanish champions Barcelona in January 2017 but departed the club five months later without playing an official match.
He made his competitive debut for the Super Eagles in a World Cup qualifier against Swaziland in November 2015 and was a member of the squad at the 2016 African Nations Championship.
Bassey's former clubs include Emma Ntuk Academy and Enyimba.
