Ex-West Ham Striker Obinna Training With Potenza Ahead Of Potential Transfer

Victor Obinna's search for a new club could come to an end in the coming days if he proves his fitness.

According to Tuttopotenza.com, the Nigeria international has been training with Italian Serie C side Potenza since yesterday with a view to a transfer.

Obinna has been inactive for one year now following his release by Cape Town City and Potenza want to evaluate his physical condition before deciding whether or not to offer him a contract.

If all goes well, the former West Ham striker would be offered a contract until 2020.

Apart from the aforementioned teams, Obinna previously wore the jerseys of Chievo, Inter Milan, Malaga, Lokomotiv Moscow, MSV Duisburg and SV Darmstadt.

Potenza, who occupy the eighth position in the regular season standings with 35 points, face Sicula Leonzio on game week 28 this coming Sunday.
