UEFA Assist U17 International Tournament : Nigeria U17s Group Opponents Revealed
Published: February 22, 2019Five-time world champions Nigeria have been drawn alongside Senegal, Angola and Montenegro in the UEFA Assist U17 International Tournament holding in Turkey next month, allnigeriasoccer.com understands.
Manu Garba's side begin their campaign in Group 3 against West Africa rivals Senegal on March 5, starting from 1200 hours.
Their second group game comes up against Montenegro on March 7 (1200 hours), before locking horns with Angola two days later, starting from 1600 hours.
The other nations confirmed to be taking part in the tournament are : Turkey, Tanzania, Guinea, Australia, Morocco, Cameroon, Uganda and Belarus.
All the eight African countries will be using the tournament to prepare for the 2019 Africa U17 Cup of Nations which will hold in Tanzania 14-28 April 2019.
Tanzania, Guinea, Australia and Turkey face off in Group 1 while Group 2 contains Morocco, Cameroon, Uganda and Belarus.
