2019 AFCONQ Roster : 'Nigeria's Kunde' Tells Rohr What He Didn't Do Right
Former Super Eagles defender Ajibade Babalade has expressed dismay over the invitation of only two home based players by Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr for the dead rubber 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Seychelles and the friendly with Egypt later this month.

There have been calls for the invitation of new players to the fold but the matches according to Rohr are billed as key to the team's preparations for Egypt 2019.

"The list is out now so we have no choice but support the coaches' decision," Babalade who was a member of the team to Senegal '92 Africa Cup of Nations told allnigeriasoccer.com on Monday.

"While it is up to the coach to invite the players he will use for the two matches coming up, I would have loved to see more home based players on the list.

"Ikechukwu Ezenwa is already a part of the team. The other young man who plays for Enyimba (Valentine Ozorworfor) is the only outfield player there, of which I expected more," the onetime Shooting Stars FC defender asserted.

"Not all our foreign based players are playing regularly. In fact there are some that ought to be considered but are not invited," the former international affectionately called 'Kunde' due to his similar playing style with Cameroon legend Emmanuel Kunde' stressed.

Ozornwafor was one of two Nigeria players that made the cut into the CAF U-20 AFCON Best XI in Niger last month.

The AFCON qualifier against Seychelles and the friendly against Egypt billed to be played at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba.
