'New Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang' Invited To Nigeria U23 Team For U23 AFCONQ Vs Libya
Allnigeriasoccer.com has been informed that in-form Spezia striker David Okereke is in line to make his debut for the Nigeria U23s when they face Libya in an U23 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier this month.

Labelled the 'new Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang', Okereke has been rewarded with a maiden call-up to the national team thanks to his brilliant performances for Spezia in the Serie B.

The Football College Abuja product has had a hand in 16 goals (7 goals, 9 assists) from 22 appearances in the Italian second-tier so far this season.

Okereke has been courted by a host of European clubs not limited to Crystal Palace, Inter Milan, Lazio, Genoa, Udinese, Parma, Fiorentina, Standard Liege and Anderlecht in recent months.

A quick, pragmatic and skillful player, Okereke can also be deployed as a winger.

The Olympic Eagles will take on Libya at the Bengerdan Stadium in Bengerdan, Tunisia on Wednesday, 20th March while the return leg will hold in Nigeria on March 25.
