Ex-Super Eagles Star Ameobi Names His Best XI, Picks Victor Moses Among SubsLegendary Newcastle striker  Shola Ameobi was afforded a chance to name a team of the best footballers he has played with during the course of his career on Wednesday evening.

Speaking on Premier League Today alongside presenter Carol Tshabalala, the ex-Nigerian international who also wore the colours of Stoke City, Fleetwood Town, Bolton, Notts County and Crystal Palace as well as Turkish club Gaziantep BB picked a large chunk of his colleagues from his time at St James Park, the likes of Gary Speed, Hatem Ben Arfa, Yohan Cabaye, Kieron Dyer among others while former Chelsea stars John Terry and Wayne Bridge equally got his nod.

Ameobi was well known for his brute strength, built and physicality on the ball during his playing days and was particularly prolific for the Magpies for whom he scored 79 goals in 397 official appearances.

He however, reserved special praise for Shearer who he believes is the best 'natural goalscorer' ever to grace the English topflight while also picking him as the captain of the team.

Former Crystal Palace star, Victor Moses who he has also played alongside with took a place amongst the seven substitutes he chose.

Ameobi's Best XI in full: Shay Given, Nolberto Solano, Jonathan Woodgate, John Terry, Wayne Bridge, Kieran Dyer, Yohan Cabaye, Gary Speed, Hatem Ben Arfa, Wilfried Zaha, Alan Shearer

Substitutes: Steve Harper, Fabricio Coloccini, Cheick Tiote, Victor Moses, Craig Bellamy, Loic Remy, Demba Ba
