A Question Mark Over Liverpool's Treatment Of Adekanye: Winger Named In Netherlands Roster Despite 4 Months Of Inactivity
There is a question mark over Liverpool's treatment of Nigerian-born winger Bobby Adekanye, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

The dribbling wizard has yet to figure for Liverpool's youth teams since November 6, 2018 when he played 84 minutes for their U19 team against Red Star Belgrade in the UEFA Youth League.

It had been claimed that Adekanye was not getting games due to fitness concerns but that is not the case as he has been invited by Royal Dutch Football Association U20 manager Bert Konterman for the forthcoming international games in March against Mexico and Czech Republic.

The 20-year-old was initially named to the provisional list and made the final list announced on Friday afternoon, his first call-up to the Netherlands teams in over three years.

It has come to light that he has been dropped from the Liverpool youth team after refusing to pen a new contract, with his current agreement expiring in the next few months.

Born in Ibadan and raised in the Netherlands, Adekanye became provisionally cap-tied to the Netherlands after making competitive appearances for their U17 team.
