Chelsea, England Await Fresh Injury Update On NFF Target Tammy Abraham
Published: March 17, 2019Tammy Abraham is set to undergo a scan to determine the extent of the injury he suffered in Saturday's Championship clash between Aston Villa and John Obi Mikel's Middlesbrough at Villa Park.
The Chelsea loanee has emerged as a doubt for England U21s upcoming games in March against Poland and Germany following his injury-enforced substitution in the 72nd minute.
Abraham was included in the England U21 squad list along with three other players of Nigerian descent in the shape of Fikayo Tomori, Ademola Lookman and Dominic Solanke.
''Tammy felt it but we are hoping it is cramp or fatigue more than anything. Anwar has come off with fatigue, too, because we’ve had three games in six days,'' said manager Dean Smith to Villa TV.
''Tammy will now have a scan.''
