Super Eagles Coach Rohr Reacts To Onuachu's Wonder Goal, Substitutions Vs Egypt
Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr hailed Paul Onuachu after his sensational strike on his full debut gave the three-time African champions a narrow win over Egypt on Tuesday evening.

The FC Midtjylland striker opened the scoring less a minute into the game when he rifled home a screamer from the edge of the box, and Rohr admitted that it was the fastest goal he has ever witnessed in his coaching career.

''We scored a goal very early. I think this is the earliest goal I have seen as a coach and it's coming from the kickoff. It was a planned goal you can say that and it was very nice,'' Rohr told reporters.

''We have other profiles for the striker position, we now have this tall guy from Denmark. He did very well but he has to improve still.''

Rohr made five changes to the team that beat Seychelles by naming goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi, Leon Balogun, John Ogu, Moses Simon and Paul Onuachu in the starting XI vs Egypt.

''We had five changes in the team, the goalkeepers came in and we finished with two local players that made their debuts. It will be good for them, for their confidence and for the careers of the players.

''I am happy about it also because our 23 players did very well for the past ten days in Asaba,'' the German added.
