Bordeaux Coach Gives Update On Condition Of Kalu Who Pulled Out Of Super Eagles Squad
Published: March 29, 2019Samuel Kalu has been ruled out of Bordeaux's trip to Amiens SC on Sunday, according to manager Paulo Sousa.
The Bordeaux number ten pulled out of the Nigeria squad for their games in March against Seychelles and Egypt citing injury and suggestions that he was faking an injury ended at today's press conference when Sousa revealed that the winger is still recovering.
A muscle injury prevented him from traveling to Asaba to link up with his international teammates about two weeks ago.
No recovery timeframe was given by manager Sousa when he spoke to the media on Friday afternoon.
Another Nigerian attack-minded player, Josh Maja is in contention to play for Bordeaux at the Stade Crédit Agricole de la Licorne (Amiens).
While Kalu has 30 games under his belt in all competitions, winter signing from Sunderland, Josh Maja has figured in five games, with three coming off the bench.
