Etebo In Need Of A New Home After Questionable Move To Stoke City
Published: April 01, 2019
Oghenekaro Etebo was in action for Stoke City in Saturday's stalemate against Sheffield Wednesday and the Owls manager Steve Bruce asked questions regarding the midfielder's switch to the bet365 Stadium after the game.
According to Steve Bruce, Etebo is too good to be playing for any second-tier team in England and was pleased with the Nigerian's display, even if he prevented his men from scoring.
Etebo has been a great addition to Nathan Jones's side this season and has unsurprisingly taken the Championship by storm.
However, it remains unclear why Etebo chose to join The Potters before a World Cup tournament where many scouts would have been able to run the rule over him.
Many Super Eagles fans believe the versatile midfielder could have waited till the end of 2018 World Cup, to see how things will turn out, before striking a deal with Stoke City.
As it stands, Stoke City will remain in the second division throughout the upcoming season as they've failed in their mission to return back to the Premier League.
This means Etebo will be with Stoke City in England's second-tier League, which isn't the best for a player of his age and quality.
With his display at the Bet365 Stadium on Saturday, it won't be a surprise if he dumps Stoke in the summer.
