Race For Eagles AFCON Roster Spots Hots Up As FCM's Onuachu Scores Two Headers
The race for the Super Eagles Africa Cup of Nations roster spots is hotting up, with FC Midtjylland's Paul Onuachu ending a four-game goal drought in his side's 4-0 win against OB in the semifinal of the DBU Pokalen on Wednesday.

The Nigeria international last got on the scoresheet in Midtjylland's 2-1 win at Aarhus GF on February 24 prior to yesterday's contest at the MCH Arena.

Rohr recently revealed that Onuachu, Odion Ighalo, Kelechi Iheanacho and Victor Osimhen are among the players battling for a striker spot ahead of the AFCON, while Crotone's Simeon Nwankwo has emerged as a candidate following his impressive goals return in recent games.

A minute into the second half, Onuachu doubled Midtjylland's advantage when he headed home from Rafal Kurzawa's precise free kick.

And the 2.01 meters tall striker increased the lead to 3-0 in the 72nd minute, firing a header past the goalkeeper, and the goal was given despite television replays indicating that he was offside.

The Wolves will face either Brondby or AaB in the final of the DBU Pokalen on May 17.
