Omeruo Battling With Muscle Injury Ahead Of Leganes Trip To Deportivo Alavés
Published: April 07, 2019Kenneth Omeruo has been listed as doubtful to suit up for CD Leganes when they tackle Estadio de Mendizorroza (Vitoria-Gasteiz) in the LaLiga Santander on Sunday morning.
The Nigeria international did not participate in full training ahead of the trip to Vitoria due to a muscle injury, the same ailment that kept him out of the squad vs Real Valladolid on Thursday.
Omeruo was not in the traveling party to Getafe on March 30 due to an accumulation of yellow cards.
The Chelsea loanee was first cautioned against Levante before receiving yellow cards against Espanyol, Barcelona, Real Betis and Girona, which took him to the threshold in terms of yellow cards accumulation.
Prior to Omeruo's spell on the sidelines, he had made 20 consecutive starts in La Liga.
Leganes are 12th on the table with 39 points after 30 games in the division.
