Monaco, Arsenal, Man City To Run The Rule Over Golden Eaglets 'Messi', 'Pogba', 'Yaya Toure' At U17 AFCON
Published: April 12, 2019Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that a number of European clubs are sending their representatives to Tanzania to run the rule over three key Golden Eaglets players with a view to a transfer after they attain the age of majority.
Talent spotters from Arsenal, Manchester City and Monaco are expected in Dar es Salaam and their mission is to closely monitor Nigeria U17 captain Samson Tijani, Akinkunmi Amoo and Olatomi Olaniyan.
Tijani needs no introduction. He plays for Collins Edwins Sports Club in Lagos and has the same playing style as Manchester United star Paul Pogba. The midfielder was named the Most Valuable Player of the zonal qualifiers in Niger.
Amoo is comfortable playing anywhere in midfield and is often deployed as a winger. The Sidos Academy star has been labelled 'Little Messi' by his Golden Eaglets teammates.
The third player to be observed is Sidos FC midfielder Olatomi Alfred Olaniyan. He is comfortable with the ball at his feet, has excellent passing skills, scores goals and has been likened to Yaya Toure by his minders.
Meanwhile, unnamed European clubs are expected in Tanzania early next week to watch Chelsea wonderkid Adrian Akande and it remains to be seen if he will be handed game time.
Turkish clubs Kasimpasa and Istanbul Basaksehir are also planning to scout the Golden Eaglets players as from Tuesday, April 16.
