U17 AFCON : Ajax Not Scouting For Talents In Tanzania Amid Link With Chelsea Super Kid & Amoo
Published: April 19, 2019Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Ajax Amsterdam have not dispatched a scout to Tanzania to watch the outstanding African talents at the ongoing U17 Africa Cup of Nations.
Reports linking Chelsea super kid Adrian Akande with an imminent switch to the Dutch Eredivisie side in the summer are not entirely correct as no concrete offer has been made and he's not eligible to join a club outside the United Kingdom until January 2020.
Having said that, the 33-time Dutch champions know about the player and their Scouting Coordinator passed up the opportunity to watch him at close quarters at the U17 AFCON.
Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig, Villarreal and Lyon are believed to keeping tabs on Akande and have talent spotters in Tanzania, specifically to watch the Chelsea winger.
Sidos FC midfielder Akinkunmi Amoo had been offered to Ajax last year during the regional qualifiers but they have not officially approached the Lagos club about signing him.
Amoo is on the radar of Arsenal, Manchester City, Monaco, Toulouse and Rapid Vienna and they would have been impressed by his quality in the Golden Eaglets first two matches at the U17 AFCON.
