One Stat That Proves Enyeama's Supremacy Over De Gea, Manuel Neuer, NavasGoalkeepers are meant to prevent opponents from putting the ball past them. Their prime target is to help the team keep as many clean sheets as possible to help them win trophies at the end the season.

You can't but mention goalkeepers like David De Gea, Keylor Navas, Iker Casillas, Edwin van der Saar, Thibaut Courtois and Manuel Neuer when it comes to mentioning goalkeepers who are good at making point-blank saves and keeping clean sheets.

However, former Super Eagles goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama is in a class of his own when it comes to mentioning goalkeepers who score goals at ease.

Enyeama, 36, didn't just stop opponents from scoring, he equally helped his team win matches by scoring goals due to his ability to convert from the spot.

During his four years with  Israeli side Hapoel Tel Aviv, the former Enyimba shot-stopper scored a total of nine goals, including a goal in the 2009-10 Israeli Gavia haMedina Cup final that helped the team win the trophy.

As far as goalkeepers are concerned, Enyeama remains the only goalkeeper of his generation who was a regular penalty taker for any club in Europe.

Apart from his prowess from the spot (as a penalty taker), he is equally good from the spot as a goalkeeper.

Enyeama was influential in the Super Eagles' third-place finish during AFCON 2006 tournament as he saved three penalty kicks against Tunisia in the quarter-final round.
