Nigeria U17 Player Ratings Vs Angola : Olaniyan The Best; Ubani Good; Average Marks For Stephen, Amoo, Ishaya, Olakunle
Nigeria's AFCON U-17 adventure in Tanzania ended on a losing note after they went down 2-1 to Angola in the third place game on Saturday.

Allnigeriasoccer.com runs the rule on the players thus :

The Starters

Goalkeeper

Sunday Stephen: Well beaten by Capita's header and could do little about Zito's thunderous finish. (5/10)

Defenders

Clement Ikenna: Had his hands full trying to nullify the threats of Zito Luvumbo and Co. to mixed effects. (6/10)

David Ishaya: Could have done better checking the runs of Mimo, one of which led to Zito's winner. (5/10)

Charles Etim: Offered no grit in attack and same could be said in his defensive approach. (4/10)

Mayowa Abayomi: Struggled in his new defensive role and never looked settled. (5/10)

Midfielders

Samson Tijani: Decent job from Tijani in the middle of the park to wind up the duo of Domingos and Porfirio. (6/10)

Abdullahi Fawaz: Lost Mimo in the build up for the second goal and had an average performance. (4.5/10)

Alfred Olaniyan: Gave a lot more probing than most of his mates and really looked the best of midfielders in the game. Tested Cambila with a good shot upfront.

Set up Ubani for the equaliser with a good pass. (7.5/10)

Ibraheem Jabaar: Couldn't create clear goal scoring chances for the attackers and toiled connecting with his fellow midfielders.

Attackers

Wisdom Ubani: Looked to combine on a couple of occasions with Olakunle and impressed in the first half. Prodded home Nigeria's goal to level matters. (7/10)

Olusegun Olakunle: Showed some good chemistry with his co attacker but couldn't come up with something spectacular. (5/10)

The Substitutes

Divine Nwachukwu: Came on for Olaniyan and looked hesitant in his moves. Took too long to get his shot away in a promising position in the 80th minute as the ball trickled away. (4/10)

Akinwumi Amoo: Replaced Ubani as the team searched for an equaliser and saw very little of the ball. A few decent touches but nothing more. (5/10)
