Arsenal's Miguel Azeez The Headline Name As Ten Nigeria-Eligible Players Make U17 EURO Squads
Ten Nigeria-eligible players are set to feature in the 2019 European U17 Championship which begins in the Republic of Ireland on Friday, May 3, having made the 20-man squad lists for their respective nations.

On Thursday morning, the English Football Association unveiled their squad which contains Arsenal super kid Miguez Azeez and former Tottenham Hotspur U16 captain Nonso Madueke, who now plays for PSV Eindhoven.

Five players of Nigerian descent have been included in the Irish squad following a late invitation handed to Southampton striker Roland Idowu.

The other players of Nigerian descent selected by head coach Colin O'Brien are : Gavin Bazunu (Manchester City), Andrew Omobamidele (Norwich City), Timi Sobowale (Manchester City), Festy Ebosele (Derby County).

Promising Hellas Verona left-back Iyenoma Destiny Udogie is also heading to the tournament with the Italian National Team.

Goalkeeper Noah Atubolu of SC Freiburg and FC Liefering striker Karim-David Adeyemi have been called up by Germany.
