Iwobi Beats Mikel To Playmaking Position; Omeruo, Aina Start As Rohr Announces Starting XI Vs Guinea
Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr has announced the team's starting line-up for their Africa Cup of Nations Group B match against Guinea at the Alexandria Stadium, Alexandria, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

The former Bayern Munich defender suggested that he will start with Daniel Akpeyi in goal at yesterday's pre-match press conference and he has kept his word, with the Kaizer Chiefs star picked over Ikechukwu Ezenwa.

The defence consists of Kenneth Omeruo, Leon Balogun, Ola Aina and Chidozie Awaziem, with the Torino and Porto players occupying the left and right back positions respectively.

Rohr has gone with Wilfred Ndidi, Oghenekaro Etebo and Alex Iwobi in midfield, meaning captain John Obi Mikel drops to the bench.

Odion Ighalo has edged Paul Onuachu to the number nine role and the former Watford man is flanked by Ahmed Musa and Moses Simon.
