Onuachu explains why Racing Genk are targeting at least one point against West Ham
Published: November 03, 2021Paul Onuachu says Racing Genk are targeting at least one point when they face off with an in-form West Ham United side in the Europa League on Thursday.
The Premier League club have a one hundred percent in the group stage of the Europa League, winning games against Dinamo Zagreb, Rapid Vienna and Genk and are just three points away from qualifying for the knockout rounds of the competition.
The Hammers recorded a comfortable 3-0 win over Genk around two weeks ago with Craig Dawson, Issa Diop and Jarrod Bowen getting their names on the scoresheet.
With the three remaining teams in Group H on three points, a draw against West Ham would increase Genk's chances for advancement to the knockout round of the Europa League or Europa Conference League.
"If we can keep a point at home against West Ham on Thursday, we will take an important step towards qualifying," Onuachu told Het Laatste Nieuws via voetbalnieuws.be.
After firing blanks against West Ham and four other opponents,
Onuachu was back on the goal trail last weekend, netting in a 6-2 rout
of Zulte Waregem.
