'A solid player' - Agent speaks about possible departure of ex-Chelsea star Moses from Spartak
Published: June 27, 2022Russian agent Alexey Safonov has shared his thoughts on the possible departure of former Chelsea wing-back Victor Moses from Spartak Moscow.
The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner with the Super Eagles, who is in the possession of a British passport, has not yet reported for preseason training at the Muscovites after his summer vacation.
Moses has not yet explained the reasons for his actions and Spartak Moscow are investigating the circumstances that led to the Nigerian not reporting to the training camp despite having two years left on his contract.
Safonov has acknowledged that Moses is a very good player but stressed that he will not be a serious loss for Spartak Moscow.
"A solid player, a clip player. But it cannot be said that he has recently determined the weather in Spartak," Safonov said to Sport Express.
"Here Zenith depends on Claudinho – he is really the best, and the red-and-whites will live without Moses.
"The phrase 'everything is lost' probably does not fit here."
Last season, Moses appeared in thirty three official matches for Spartak, scoring three goals and providing five assists.
The Crystal Palace academy product ended a nine-year association with Chelsea following his permanent transfer to Spartak last summer.
Moses previously wore the colours of Wigan Athletic, Liverpool, West Ham United, Stoke City, Fenerbahce and Inter Milan.
