Balogun's coach at QPR set to complete move to Scottish giants Rangers
Published: November 28, 2022
Michael Beale, who sanctioned the capture of free agent Leon Balogun in the summer transfer window, is on the brink of leaving Queens Park Rangers,
Beale was Steven Gerrard's assistant when Glasgow Rangers became Scottish champions for the 55th time in 2020-2021 and followed the Liverpool icon to Aston Villa as his number two in November 2021, before taking over the managerial reins at Queens Park Rangers in the summer.
After their time together at Rangers, Balogun reunited with Beale in August 2022, agreeing a one-year deal following his release by the Light Blues.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Glasgow Rangers are set to complete the appointment of Michael Beale as their new head coach to replace Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
The Italian transfer market guru added that there's a full agreement in place and QPR will look for new coach soon.
Balogun made twelve appearances with Beale in the Queens Park Rangers dugout, eleven of which he started, and was on target against his former club Wigan Athletic.
Beale rejected the chance to leave Queens Park Rangers for Wolverhampton Wanderers last month.
