The Yellow Submarine took the lead in the eighth minute as Carlos Garcia headed home from close range.and seven minutes later the advantage was doubled courtesy of Anthony Lozano's strike.
Anthony Martial pulled one back from the penalty spot in the 21st minute after Zidane Iqbal was brought down inside the box.
Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag made wholesale changes for the start of the second half, replacing ten outfield players, and one of the changes saw Anglo-Nigerian winger Shola Shoretire come off the bench.
Kobbie Mainoo with a deflected effort equalized for the visitors two minutes into the second half but Rubén Sobrino restored Cadiz's two-goal advantage at minute 57, before Alarcon added a fourth with 13 minutes left.
Shoretire looked lively when he came on but his decision making in the final third let him down at times.
Another Flying Eagles-eligible player in Poland U19 international Max Oyedele was an unused substitute.
United will face Real Betis on Saturday, December 10 before returning to United Kingdom to continue their preparations for the Premier League restart.
