Team news FA Youth Cup : Eagles to unleash Nigerian defensive midfielder on Man Utd
Published: December 11, 2022
Crystal Palace will face Manchester United in the third round of the FA Youth Cup on Sunday at Selhurst Park.
If the Eagles last training session is anything to go by, highly-rated Spanish-born Nigerian defensive midfield David Ozoh will be involved in some capacity against the Red Devils who have in their ranks Maxi Oyedele.
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Ozoh will make his third career appearance in the FA Youth Cup in today's tough tie with Manchester United.
The 2005-born player made his FA Youth Cup debut last season against Barnsley before making the starting lineup again in the fourth round defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Although Ozoh was fully promoted to Crystal Palace's development squad at the start of this season, he has linked up with the U18 squad in order to help them in their quest to progress to the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup.
Ozoh has been identified as a potential first team player, with first team boss Patrick Vieira naming him on the roster for the club's pre-season tour to Australia and Singapore.
Last month, he received his first call up to the Crystal Palace senior team in their Carabao Cup third round clash against Newcastle United.
