Ten Hag runs the rule over Flying Eagles-eligible player ahead of Man Utd's trip to Wolves
Published: December 30, 2022There is no vacation for England youth international of Nigerian descent Shola Shoretire even though Manchester United's development squad have been inactive since December 19, 2022.
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has been running the rule over the Flying Eagles-eligible winger this week with a view to his possible inclusion in the traveling squad for the Premier League match at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
According to the latest training images shared by Manchester United on social media, Shoretire was involved in today's training session at Trafford Training Centre.
It remains to be seen whether the Dutch football tactician will include him in the traveling squad to the West Midlands.
The talented teenager faces a tough task to force his way into the first team picture at Manchester United with the likes of England's World Cup star Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Antony, Anthony Elanga and new kid on the block Alejandro Garnacho ahead of the Anglo-Nigerian in Ten Hag's pecking order of forwards.
Shoretire hasn't played a Premier League game since the final day of last season at Crystal Palace.
He has received three call ups for first team matches this season but remained rooted to the bench against Real Sociedad and Aston Villa (2).
