Arsenal legend predicts where Eze, Olise, Zaha will help Crystal Palace reach in current season
Published: January 01, 2023
Arsenal legend Ian Wright on Saturday night tipped the attacking trio of Eberechi Eze, Michael Olise and Wilfried Zaha to help their club, Crystal Palace, finish in the top half of the English Premier League table this season.
Crystal Palace beat Bournemouth 2-0 on Saturday to round off their 2022 matches in the topflight with Eze scoring the second goal in the 36th minute with a rasping shot at the edge of the opposition box after he profited from Olise's short corner kick.
Ghana striker Jordan Ayew had put the Eagles ahead in the 19th minute.
Wright, who represented Crystal Palace, between 1985 and 1991 where he played 225 matches spoke on the Premier League Production's Match Day Extra programme.
on the upcoming matches that manager Patrick Vieira and his team have to navigate.
"Chelsea, Newcastle United, Manchester United - I think there are games that Crystal Palace have to win," Wright noted.
"They have been up and down with their form but with Marc Guéhi coming back it's a massive plus for Palace.
"But in the main, everybody is worried for them so I believe that once they can get themselves going, (Eberechi) Eze playing in the central midfield, Zaha playing from the right and Olise from the left, it looks a lot like a balanced team and I believe that they can finish in the top half this season (2022/2023)," Wright concluded.
