Blackburn trying to bring ex-Golden Eaglets invitee to Ewood Park but face competition
Published: January 02, 2023
Blackburn Rovers are the latest club to have reportedly joined the race to sign 2019 Golden Eaglets invitee Malcolm Ebiowei.
According to a Patreon report from Alan Nixon, via Football League World, Blackburn Rovers have made an enquiry for the Crystal Palace winger.
Ipswich Town have also made contact with the Eagles to know the intentions of both Ebiowei and the club regarding a loan move.
The England U20 international has also attracted the attention from other Football League clubs such as Hull City and Swansea City, while a return to Derby County cannot be entirely ruled out.
Crystal Palace could decide to allow Ebiowei leave Selhurst Park on a temporary basis seeing that he is struggling to get minutes.
The 19-year-old has been included in every matchday squad since the start of the season, most recently against Bournemouth in the Premier League, but has appeared in only five matches from a possible eighteen in all competitions, logging a paltry fifty seven minutes.
Last season, Ebiowei recorded three goal involvements in sixteen appearances for Derby County in the Championship.
