Anglo-Nigerian goalkeeper Brian Okonkwo has finally made his competitive debut for Arsenal U18s.
The first-year scholar went the full ninety as the Gunners, coached by club legend Jack Wilshere, sealed a win in a seven-goal thriller against Norwich City in an U18 Premier League match on Saturday afternoon.
Brian, younger brother of Arsenal's first team goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo, received eight call ups for U18 matches in the U18 Premier League, FA Youth Cup and U18 Premier League Cup without tasting action, prior to the visit of the Canaries.
There were seven different scorers in the exciting game staged at the Shenley Training Centre in Hertfordshire,
Omari Benjamin fired beyond the goalkeeper to give Arsenal the lead in the 11th minute, but the visitors were 2-1 up at halftime courtesy of strikes from Myles and Amadou, with the latter assisted by former Chelsea schoolboy of Nigerian descent Dubem Eze.
Gower equalized for the Gunners four minutes into the second half, but Reindorf restored Norwich City's lead at minute 77, before late goals from Brown and Oulad M'Hand secured a victory for the Londoners.
Ethan Nwaneri featured for Arsenal, lasting 65 minutes on the pitch before making way for Kamara.
