Official : Manchester United loan out talented Flying Eagles-eligible midfielder
Published: January 18, 2023National League outfit Altrincham have announced that they have bolstered their squad with the temporary signing of versatile Flying Eagles-eligible midfielder Maximillian Oyedele.
The Manchester-born starlet has joined the Robins on loan from Premier League giants Manchester United.
A Poland U19 international, Oyedele qualifies to represent Nigeria through his father, Poland through his mother and England where he was born.
The 18-year-old has been loaned out to Altrincham, where he will experience the rigours of first-team football.
He was an unused substitute on Tuesday night as Altrincham defeated Maidenhead United 3-2 in a National League fixture held at The J.Davidson Stadium.
In preparation for his loan move to the Robins, Oyedele, who can be deployed at centre-back and defensive midfield, trained with the first team of League Two club Doncaster Rovers in October 2022 as part of Manchester United's 'Pro Experience Programme'.
A member of United's FA Youth Cup-winning squad in 2022, he trained with the Red Devils' first team before their trip to Cyprus for a UEFA Europa League clash against Omonia Nicosia, and was named in the traveling squad for a mid-season training camp in Spain last month.
This season, Oyedele has represented Manchester United youth teams in the U18 Premier League, U18 Premier League Cup, FA Youth Cup, Premier League 2 and Papa Johns Trophy.
