Preston North End working on deal to sign Tottenham Hotspur academy product Onomah

Championship outfit Preston North End are working on a deal to sign Tottenham Hotspur-reared midfielder Josh Onomah ahead of the close of the January transfer window.
Football Insider says Preston North End are in advanced talks to sign the 2017 FIFA U20 World Cup winner of Nigerian descent on a free transfer.
Onomah is expected to mutually terminate his contract with Fulham, paving the way for him to potentially join The Lilywhites as a free agent.
The 25-year-old is in the final five months of his contract with the Cottagers, whom he joined from boyhood club Tottenham Hotspur in August 2019.
Onomah was linked with other Championship clubs plus Rangers but Preston North End are in pole position to land his signature.
He is one game away from reaching a milestone of one hundred appearances in the English second tier after playing 33, 15 and 51 games for Aston Villa, Sheffield Wednesday and Fulham respectively in the division.
Onomah played 32 first team games during his time at Tottenham Hotspur, including thirteen in the Premier League.
