Done deal : Arsenal loan out talented Nigerian striker to EFL club
Published: January 31, 2023
With a statement on their official website, Premier League table toppers Arsenal have announced that talented London-born Nigerian striker Nathan Butler-Oyedeji has been loaned out to Accrington Stanley.
The 20-year-old will spend the remainder of the season at the EFL League One club.
Butler-Oyedeji was named in Arsenal's traveling squad for their mid-season training camp in the United Arab Emirates, where he featured in friendlies against Lyon and AC Milan.
He was named the Papa Johns Trophy Player of the Group Stage after scoring three goals and providing an assist in three games.
The Hale End Academy product received his first call-up for a first team match in a Premier League game against Newcastle United on January 3 and six days later was also a non-playing substitute in an Emirates FA Cup clash against Oxford United.
Butler-Oyedeji joined Arsenal at U9 level and signed his first professional contract with the Gunners in 2021.
