Man Utd announce Anglo-Polish-Nigerian DM has been loaned out until end of the season
Published: February 01, 2023
Manchester United announced on Wednesday afternoon that Anglo-Polish-Nigerian defensive midfielder Maxi Oyedele has joined National League club Altrincham FC until the end of the 2022-2023 season.
Altrincham FC confirmed the signing of Oyedele fifteen days ago but without going into details.
Oyedele is among the three academy players loaned out to the non-league club, the others being Sonny Aljofree and Joe Hugill.
The three teenagers have joined the National League club as part of an innovative loan scheme designed by United’s Academy coaches.
Oyedele will continue to train with Manchester United's U18 and U21 teams while benefiting from the experience and challenges of non-league football intermittently throughout the remainder of the season.
The Poland youth international made his senior debut against Chesterfield on January 24 and was an unused substitute against Maidenhead United and Boreham Wood
Oyedele won the FA Youth Cup with Manchester United U18s last season and signed his first professional contract in May 2022.
