Victor Osimhen has been ranked the third fastest player so far in the top five European Leagues consisting of the English Premier League, Spanish La Liga, German Bundesliga, Italian Serie A and French Ligue 1.
The Nigeria international clocked a top speed of 36.61km/h during Napoli's matchday five tie against Lazio on September 3, 2022.
Only Borussia Dortmund winger Karim Adeyemi (36.65 km/h) and Chelsea's Ukrainian winger Mykhailo Mudryk (36.63 km/h) did better than Osimhen in the top 5 European Leagues, according to Transfermarkt.
Mudryk hit the fastest speed recorded in the Premier League this season on his debut against Liverpool on January 21.
Cap-tied Germany international of Nigerian descent Adeyemi became officially the fastest player in Bundesliga history in his side's 5-1 win over Freiburg early in the second half of the 2022/23 season.
Four of the top ten fastest speeds in the Italian Serie A were recorded by Osimhen.
