'Man Utd are really doing well' - Iheanacho admits Leicester face a tough game at Old Trafford
Published: February 19, 2023
Kelechi Iheanacho has admitted that Leicester City face a tough game against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.
Erik ten Hag's side are unbeaten in their last seven matches in all competitions and recently played out a 2-2 draw with Barcelona at the Camp Nou in the first leg of their Europa League playoff tie.
Leicester City have also picked up form over the last three weeks with three consecutive wins in all competitions.
Iheanacho has also rediscovered his form, like Leicester City, scoring in each of his last three matches.
The Nigeria international underlined that the Foxes are in confident mood heading into today's fixture, and vowed that the players will give their best to continue their positive run of results.
Speaking to LCFC TV, the Leicester City number 14 had the following to say : "We’re preparing really well. There’s a good feeling in the dressing room everywhere now, so hopefully we’ll keep that momentum going and I know it’s going to be a big game for us. Man Utd are really doing well and it will be a tough game.
"But hopefully we will stand up to it and we’ll do what we’ve been doing and be strong. Hopefully we will go there and get something out of that game. We’ll do our best."
In eleven career appearances against Manchester United, Iheanacho has found the net on four occasions with two of the goals coming at Old Trafford.
