Defender-turned-striker Osimhen reveals Chelsea legend was his football idol growing up

Napoli star Victor Osimhen has reiterated that Chelsea legend Didier Drogba was his football idol growing up.
Drogba first made a name for himself at Marseille before moving to Chelsea, where he became a cult hero among the fans after starring for the Blues as they won four Premier League titles, four FA Cups, three League Cups and the Champions League.
The Ivorian, a two-time African Footballer of the Year, scored 164 goals in 381 appearances over his two spells with Chelsea.
Osimhen has some of the attributes of his idol, Drogba as he offers physicality combined with aerial presence.
When asked if he had a football idol growing up, the Napoli goal machine told Sorare : "Growing up I started to watch Didier Drogba, how he plays and try to see what makes a lot of people consider him as one of the greatest strikers to ever play this game."
Osimhen has sensationally revealed that he started out his career as a defender, before moving to the attack.
On the first position he ever played, Osimhen said : "I was actually a defender".
Osimhen is expected to be named in the Napoli squad for their Champions League round of 16 tie against Bundesliga outfit
Eintracht Frankfurt on Tuesday.
