Manchester United loanee Oyedele scores again for National League club
Published: February 22, 2023Manchester United loanee Maxi Oyedele is impressing at National League side Altrincham, where he is spending the remainder of the season.
The 18-year-old won over the coaching staff of the Robins after scoring his first senior goal against Woking on February 18.
And he was rewarded with a place in the starting lineup for the visit to Barnet on Tuesday evening - his first-ever start for a men's football team.
Oyedele rose to the occasion by scoring in his second consecutive match for Altrincham in their 4-2 road win against Barnet.
Altrincham found themselves behind at the break following goals from Smith and Pritchard, while Jordan Hulme pulled one back.
Oyedele equalized for the visitors nine minutes into the second half when he slotted into the bottom corner, before goals from Linney and Sinclair sealed the win.
A Poland U19 international of Nigerian descent, Oyedele will be hoping to catch Erik ten Hag's eye during his loan spell at Altrincham.
The Manchester native has yet to make his senior debut for his parent club, but has been invited to train with the first team several times this season.
