Harry Kane or Osimhen? Transfer guru Romano reveals Man Utd's top transfer target
Published: April 24, 2023Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is Manchester United's top transfer target in the summer transfer window, amid speculation linking Victor Osimhen with a move to Old Trafford.
The Italian transfer market expert underlined that Erik ten Hag is keen on signing a physical center forward in the mould of Osimhen but stressed that United have decided that Kane is the ideal striker for the project.
Kane has approximately one year left on his contract with Tottenham Hotspur but Daniel Levy, the Chairman of the north London club, wants to keep him after a disappointing season, so he will try to speak to the England skipper to extend his contract
Osimhen is one of the most sought after strikers on the market on the back of an outstanding season at Napoli.
The Nigeria international has mustered 26 goals in thirty two appearances across all competitions so far this season
"I can confirm what I said in the last few months. Manchester United internally consider Harry Kane technically as the perfect striker for their project," Romano said on his YouTube page.
"From what I understand Erik ten Hag is looking for that kind of striker, traditional number 9, goalscorer, a physical player, also some experience would be good, but that kind of player Harry Kane, Victor Osimhen.
"A proper number 9, this is what Manchester United want. A physical player again is something they really need in the idea of the coaching staff of Manchester United."
Apart from Manchester United, Osimhen has also been linked with possible moves to Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain, which could spark a bidding war for the services of the 24-year-old who is valued at more than 100 million euros by Napoli.
