Published: April 25, 2023According to a report from Sky Deutschland journalist Philipp Hinze , RB Leipzig won't be pursuing a deal for Arsenal-owned striker Folarin Balogun if Arsenal don't reduce the transfer fee of the striker.
Leipzig are preparing for the departure of French forward Christopher Nkunku, who will be leaving for Chelsea in the summer and have identified Balogun as his replacement.
The England U21 international is on loan at French Ligue 1 side Stade de Reims and has proven his efficiency in front of goal, bagging 18 league goals in the French top-flight this season, four goals adrift of leading top scorer Kylian Mbappe.
The performances of the Hale End Academy graduate have caught the attention of several clubs in Europe, one of which is RB Leipzig.
Sky Deutschland's Hinze has reported that Leipzig would consider alternatives to Balogun if Arsenal don't reduce their
€40m transfer fee which is being quoted as the transfer fee of the striker.
The German club are said to have identified RC Lens' Belgium forward, Loïs Openda as an alternative.
Balogun's exploits this season have also attracted the interest of clubs based in Italy, Spain, England and France.
