Report : Six strikers on the radar of Man Utd including Osimhen and his pal at AS Roma
Published: April 30, 2023Victor Osimhen is reportedly one of the strikers being considered by Manchester United to bolster their attack in the summer transfer window.
Despite Napoli failing to make it to the Champions League semifinals after their 2-1 loss on aggregate to AC Milan, the Nigeria national teamer is set to end the season on a high note.
The Blues can wrap up the Serie A title with a win against Salernitana provided Lazio drop points at Inter Milan, while Osimhen is nailed-on favourite to win the Paolo Rossi Award as the top scorer in the Serie A.
The Nigeria national teamer has notched 21 goals in the top-flight, six more than his nearest challenger for the award, Inter Milan's Lautaro Martínez.
Osimhen could be heading for the exit door thanks to his superb season, with Manchester United among his suitors.
According to the online edition of The Sun, manager Erik ten Hag has told Manchester United chiefs to get him a number 9, with Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane identified as the priority signing.
Osimhen's pal at AS Roma, Tammy Abraham, Lille’s Jonathan David, Atalanta's Rasmus Hojland and Juventus star Dusan Vlahovic are the other four strikers on the radar of Manchester United's recruitment team.
Kane is a homegrown player plus has Premier League experience and that is what he has going for him, while Osimhen is a more traditional center forward.
With two years left on Osimhen's contract, Napoli may consider approving his sale if their asking price is met.
