Napoli desperate to prevent Victor Osimhen from leaving in the summer
Published: May 14, 2023Napoli are desperate to keep star striker, Victor Osimhen and are ready to give him a new contract with a pay rise and at the same time offer him a way out of the club.
According to Repubblica, via Il Napolista, the Parthenopei will offer Osimhen an increase in wages and a promise to sell him next year in order to keep him at the club at least for one more season and convince him to sign a contract extension.
The latest report comes as no surprise as Napoli's President, Aurelio De Laurentiis has expressed his desire not to sell the 24-year-old whose current contract ends in 2025.
The Super Eagles star is one of the most prolific strikers in Europe at the moment.
He is the top scorer in the Serie A with 23 goals and has bagged 28 goals and five assists in 35 matches in all competitions for Napoli.
Osimhen's efficiency in front of goal has attracted the interest of Premier League clubs Manchester United and Chelsea while Bayern Munich and PSG have also been linked with him.
