Confirmed: Ex-Golden Eaglets striker Iheanacho joins three-time Danish champions Midtjylland
Published: July 07, 2023Through a statement on their official website, three-time Danish champions FC Midtjylland have announced the signing of Nigerian striker Stanley Iheanacho.
Described as a lightning fast player, Iheanacho will initially start his FC Midtjylland career with the U19 team.
Aged 18, he has put pen to paper on a five-year deal that will keep him at the Jutland outfit until the summer of 2028.
Iheanacho was a member of the Golden Eaglets squad to the 2021 WAFU Zone B Tournament which served as a qualifying tournament for the Africa U17 Cup of Nations.
He is a striker with physicality and speed, and scored many goals throughout his youth.
Commenting on his transfer to FC Midtjylland, Iheanacho said: "I'm really happy, and it's something I've been waiting for for a long time. It has been a hard fight to get here, so to be standing here now means a lot to me".
Iheanacho is a product of FC Hearts, an Abuja based academy which produced ex-Nigeria U17 captain Musa Muhammed and Ifeanyi Mathew among others.
Iheanacho links up with Isa Musa, Jamiu Musbaudeen and Obule Moses at FC Midtjylland U19 team.
