Italian Serie B club in talks with former Arsenal and Ajax winger Joel Ideho
Published: July 13, 2023Allnigeriasoccer.com has been told that Italian Serie B club Feralpisalò hold concrete interest in signing 2023 Flying Eagles invitee Joel Ideho.
The exciting winger is on the lookout for a new employer following his release by Arsenal at the end of last month after he ran out of contract at the Premier League club.
Feralpisalò are currently negotiating with Ideho and his camp over a transfer but there is no agreement in place between the parties as of now.
The 19-year-old is currently in the Netherlands training on his own ahead of a transfer to a new club.
Premier League newcomers Burnley tested the waters regarding the possible signing of the Dutch-born Nigerian youngster this summer but appear to be lagging behind Feralpisalò in the race for his services.
The skillful forward, who is capable of playing anywhere across the frontline but often deployed as a winger, joined Arsenal on a professional deal in October 2020, after previously wearing the colours of Ajax Amsterdam and the youth teams of RKTVV, SC 't Zand and Willem II.
Ideho departed the Emirates Stadium without making his professional debut but was often promoted to first team training by manager Mikel Arteta.
He trained with the Flying Eagles before the 2023 Africa U20 Cup of Nations and the Fifa U20 World Cup.
