Done deals: Chelsea announce outgoing transfers of two wingers
Published: July 13, 2023Through their official website, Premier League side Chelsea have announced the outgoing transfers of two wingers.
Dion Rankine, 20, has completed a season-long loan move to EFL League One side Exeter City.
The versatile player who joined Chelsea at U14 level from Cambridge United is also capable of playing as a fullback and wingback.
Rankine started training with his new teammates at Exeter City on Wednesday ahead of their next pre-season friendly against Bath City at Twerton Park.
Last season, he netted five goals and registered four assists in 26 outings in the Premier League 2, and also got minutes in the Papa Johns Trophy.
Leaving Stamford Bridge on a permanent basis is United States Men's National Team captain Christian Pulisic who has completed a permanent transfer to Italian Serie A powerhouse AC Milan.
Pulisic has put pen to paper on a four-year contract with the Rossoneri until June 30, 2027, with an option to extend his stay until June 30, 2028.
The 24-year-old recorded 145 appearances for Chelsea, scoring 26 goals, and helped them win the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and Fifa Club World Cup.
For the forthcoming season, Pulisic has been handed the number 11 jersey and links up with Chelsea old boys Fikayo Tomori, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Olivier Giroud at AC Milan.
